Astronomar has been stirring up and building alliances in the dance music community since he arrived in Seattle by way of Alaska in 2008. Newly relocated to Los Angeles in 2013, he’s seen by far his busiest year on the road, and in the studio, infiltrating the playlists of most every A-List DJ with ears. Thereʼs an intangible uniqueness to everything he does; a strong hip-hop influence permeates his productions, based on his earlier roots in hip hop & turntablism. Since his first release “Had To Move On” (released via Discobelle) in 2011, he has released an EP on Mad Decent/Jeffreeʼs, and Top Billinʼ plus countless other remixes. The biggest names, from Diplo, to Skrillex, to A-Trak have supported his tracks by featuring them on their own mixes & radio shows, and playing them out nightly, around the world.
We have been excited about hosting the rising star INFUZE at our FADED event (which takes place every 2nd saturday at Graveyard Tavern) ever since we heard he was getting out of the studio and ready to hit the road this summer.
Check out his latest EP for Firepower Records:
As always at FADED we bring you America’s most talented producers and DJs in the scene. This month while our resident Nicavitch is at Bonaroo we got one of our favorite ATL homies to warm it up: Sorted.
We have been working with Sorted for a few years now and every time we bring him to an event he never ceases to amaze us. The way he blasts through genres and plays the most unfamiliar records in a familiar style is what attracts us to this ATL veteran.
To close out the night proper we hired the very talented Midnite Panda.
He was recently booked for Tomorrowworld with a mere 2 years in the game, yet don’t be fooled! This guy is no rookie on the decks. Seamlessly mixing styles and keeping the crowd hype is the dudes specialty.

SOHIGHONLIFE.COM PROUDLY PRESENTS…
B2B: An event showcasing Atlanta local and national acts.
On Friday 6/20 at Graveyard Tavern begins BIIB Atlanta a monthly series taking place every 3rd Friday of the month.
What is BIIB? When performers or DJs go “B2B" or "Back to Back" it simply means they vibe on each others energy by doing a collaborative set on stage.
Why BIIB? Doing b2b sets creates an amazing type of positive energy not only on stage, but naturally in a local or even national music community. A feeling of camaraderie that we at Sohighonlife.com have always been about since day 1. Of course we also know that 2 brilliant minds are better than one :)
Our Vision: A local community of all backgrounds unified in MUSIC. We like the idea.

First and foremost thanks to those of you that have been loyal to SOHIGHONLIFE since the beginning. Its been a while since I (or anyone else) has made a post on the site. I (Kid Cedek) am excited to announce that this will be changing!
As some of you may know I’ve been djing at Graveyard Tavern in East Atlanta Village for going on almost 4 years now. Why do I still do it? Why is it the ONLY thing that I’ve done consistently since I practically moved to ATL exactly 5 years ago 6/1/2014? Its simple: FREEDOM. Freedom to do me. Freedom to play everything and anything I’d like to. If I were to play a bunch of classic R&B records at these BASS MUSIC shows people would probably look at me as if they saw a ghost or something (LOL). I consider Graveyard to be like a second home to me.
Throughout the years I’ve DJd at GY I’ve helped them bring in homies like DJ REAL JUICY from WHITEFOLKSGETCRUNK.COM to even had good friends like Andrew WK and Cherie Lily Come Thru. (Yeah, Crazy I know— But they are like fam since we did Vans Warped Tour Together back in 2010).You can definitely say I’ve had my fair share of awesome memories at the spot.
Lets rewind a bit tho. I want to take it back to a time when I first moved to ATL and didn’t know a single soul here. Two dudes were residents on every Friday night. Justin Bright and Mayhem. I would go there on Fridays and it was always CHURNT all the way up!!! These dudes would always have this place crackin tho for real! Their night was called "FILTHY & FAMOUS" and they put me on to people whom Im great friends w/ Today like UDACHI & so many More. Even Mondays man, ATL veteran Brian Parris was holding it down then strong. I miss that shit. I miss the camaraderie of the industry (or scene or whatever the hell you want to call it). This is a big reason I’m still there. I love those memories and I love creating new ones with all the talented homies that I know around atlanta and around the world.
This Friday is going to be special to me. As I’ve hit the 5 year mark as an ATL resident. As well as the 5 year mark of me pursuing a career in music and I’m going to celebrate my ass off. I’ve worked hard and as I gear up to bring some new blood and new events into ATL I’m going to work even harder. I hope to see some familiar faces this weekend as well as some new ones!
Here’s to a new beginning! And remember I’m always on 1st Friday. JACKMASTER (ATL) is on 2nd Fridays & Mark Graves is on 4th Fridays! More details on B2B which will be taking place third fridays coming very soon!
I'm CEDEK. Welcome to So High On Life. SHOL was created to give you a fresh perspective on all things music & life. Yeah, Its that simple! Be sure to follow me on my personal twitter for updates.
